lll. Therapeutic Groups
G) Breathing for Health & Life Success Group
This therapeutic group is open to 6 - 10 participants interested in developing
Easy & Quick steps to managing emotional stress.
First Session provides healthy breathing activities and other stress reducing solutions to help the body unwind and practice for healthy habit formation.
The Second Session identifies life success goals and ways to achieve them without compromising emotional health. It provides activities for participants to express and plan short and long term goals in ways that reduce overwhelming feelings and negative relationships with others.
This 2-session closed group is offered weekly for 3 hours and requires 6 persons. Times vary. A 50% non-refundable down payment is required in advance. Casual loose clothing suggested for easy movement.
This group may be covered by your private health insurance. A doctor referral may be required for coverage by insurance. Check with your provider today.
H) Grief & Loss Group
This therapeutic group is designed for people who have suffered a significant loss that has resulted in an overwhelming sense of despair, disappointment, confusion, and concern about the future.
This group is suitable for individuals struggling to cope with a loss in finances, job, relationship, or through the death of a loved one or family member.
This group is not appropriate for individuals diagnosed with moderate to severe clinical depression as diagnosed by a psychiatrist or family doctor.
This is a 3-Session closed group capped at 8 participants. Each weekly session is 2 hours in duration and a minimum of 4 participants are required for this group to run. Sessions may be offered during the day or evening hours with light refreshments and materials provided.
All materials included in this cost. This group may be covered by your private health insurance.

iV. Child-Centered Health Consultations at Day Cares, Preschools, & Schools
J) Child-Centered Assessments
Private confidential child-centered assessments for preschool and school-aged children struggling in day care, preschool, private schools, or public schools.
These assessments will explore your child's special therapeutic needs and requirements for success with peers and adults.
A report will be generated along with a list of practical recommendations for parents, early childhood educators, educational assistants, and teachers.
Social work assessments focus on your child's cooperative play and social skills, your child's ability to follow regular behavioural expectations and daily routines at home and other care & learning environments, barriers to engagement in assigned tasks, areas of success at meeting adult expectations, and recommendations for further specialized assessments & therapeutic interventions by other members of your child's primary health team.

V. Clinical Supervision & Consultation
M) Clinical Case Work
Social Workers providing Psychotherapy service in private practice are regulated under the Ontario Association of Social Workers & Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW).
Social Workers with experience are qualified to offer psychotherapy and continue to be regulated under the college. Social workers, psychotherapists, child & family therapists, and other regulated counsellors are expected to retain clinical supervision and support on casework where required.
